Who's That E-Girl?

  Tonight is the big night! MFT will be releasing 5 brand new fantastic sets tonight. Please join us in the MFT forum over on SCS at 9:00pm EST. The release parties are always great and Kim has some fantastic deals for you this month!

 I had a ton of fun playing with this new set, Who's that E Girl? I love the main image in this set and the sentiments that come with it are just perfect!

I created this first card using MFT's signature colors, Pink, Black and White. This color combination is obviously not a stretch for me! lol I LOVE IT! I used Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette, Basic Black and Whisper White Cardstock. The striped paper is Pink Pirouette Patterns DSP, and the gorgeous Black and White patterned paper is from Doodlebug Designs. I colored in the image using Copic markers. The flowers are two different sorts of Petaloo flowers. I used Nestabilities for the scalloped frame and the ovals.

This next card using the same set has a totally different feel to it. I used some fun, funky paper from We R Memory Keepers. I love the warm sunshine feel it has, especially as it has been snowing here all day!

I used Tangerine Tango, Riding Hood Red and Summer Sun cardstock. The patterned paper is all from We R Memory Keepers. The lovely ribbon is from May Arts and the flowers are once again from Petaloo.

Scented Geranium Kisses

  I am in love with this weeks color challenge on SCS, Riding Hood Red, Pretty in Pink and Kiwi Kiss! They look just fantastic together. What's even more fantastic is that I got to use my wonderful new set from the MFT presents Annie LaPoint line. I love the images that Annie have designed. They are so fabulous to color!

I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. If you haven't tried this ink yet you really must! Now is the perfect time to get one for free! I used Riding Hood Red, Old Olive, Kiwi Kiss and Pretty in Pink Cardstock all from Stampin' Up! The patterned paper comes from the Prints DSP and the Patterns DSP packages. I love this Designer Series Paper packs as they make card making quick and easy! I used my Nestabilities for the ovals and my Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder to emboss the scalloped oval. I colored the image with Copics. The gorgeous ribbon is from Stampin' Up! it is available in the Holiday Mini until January 18th. The flowers are from Petaloo, they are available from MFT. The wonderful pearls are from the Pretties Kit.

It's a Cupcake Kind of Day!

I am so excited that release day is almost here for this month's fantastic stamp sets from My Favorite Things!This month I am very honored to be sharing with you some sneak peeks at the new MFT stamps sets. Today is all about the cupcakes!

  Have you ever thought about combining cupcakes and Christmas? I thought it would be fun to make some Christmas projects with this great cupcake from the brand new It's a Cupcake Kind of Day set from My Favorite Things. This amazing set will be available Wednesday night. I used Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding patterned paper for all of these projects.

How fun is this Christmas card? I wish you could see it in person! It shimmers and glistens! The white icing on the cupcake was done with Angel Wings Shimmerz. I love the effect I get from this product. It adds so much shimmer and shine! The cherry's and the little candies are all done with Crystal Effects so they shine beautifully. The saying was created by using part of the greeting from A Cupcake Kind Of Day and the word Holiday from  the Tis The Season Set.
 

Once I got started with the card I decided that I wanted to have a little more fun. I was looking at the Figgy Pudding paper packs and then it came to me! Christmas ornaments done with cupcakes! Cupcakes are so in this year, I figured why not have Cupcake Christmas ornaments! lol Before I started on the ornaments I needed somewhere to put them, so I whipped up this tin! All the papers and the letters are from Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding pack. The lovely ribbon is from May Arts. The cupcake is done exactly the same as it was on the card so it has that same shimmer and shine!

 Now for the ornaments! The Figgy Pudding paper pack had some large ornament shaped stickers in it. I took those stickers and used them on some thin chipboard. I covered the back of the chipboard with coordinating papers from the Figgy Pudding line. Each ornament has a lovely shimmery cupcake on it. The ornaments were finished with some beautiful suede like ribbon from Basic Grey. The ornaments all fit perfectly in the tin.
