Can you believe that it is almost 2009! Wow, this year seemed to fly by! I probably say that every year but this year I really mean it! lol
I invite all of you to enjoy a little New Years Eve fun with MFT! MFT is having a HUGE SALE on for today only! All the details can be found in the MFT Forum on SCS. Not only is today New Years Eve, it's also Wednesday and you all know what that means... it's What's Up Wednesday! This week I am thrilled to be hosting the What's Up Wednesday Challenge!
Since it is New Years Eve I thought we should play with a little sparkle, shimmer and shine! You know, the BLING! All the details for the challenge can be found here. I hope you will join me for this fun challenge!
My first card is full of shimmer and shine! I used Baby It's Cold Outside which is on sale for today only for $6.00!!! I used Copics and the Atyou Glitter markers on her outfit. I then used Shimmerz all over the rest of the image. Angel Wings for the snow and Sky Blue for the sky. The patterned paper is from one of those Glitter Mat Stacks.
Now the real bling on this card comes from the rhinestone snowflakes from Me and My Big Ideas. These rhinestones are fabulous on their own but when I paired them up with Stampin' Up's Snow Flurries they become a whole new kind of fabulous!
This next card is full of rhinestones and glitter! I used It's A Cupcake Kind of Day for this one and yes, you guessed it, it is also on sale for $6.00 for today only!
I stamped the cupcakes on Papertrey's White cardstock with Memento Black ink. I then used my Copic markers for the frosting. I covered each cupcake with a very liberal dose of Stickles. I don't usually use stickles I tend to prefer regular glitter, so I think I used way too much of the stickles! Let's just say that I had a little bit of a mess to clean up! lol
All yummy cupcakes need a few sprinkles on top so I added a little more bling with some fun rhinestones from K&Company. The patterned paper is also from K&Company and the ribbon is from American Crafts.
I hope you all have a fun and safe New Years Eve! Best wishes to you and your families for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2009! See you next year!
