Have you seen and felt the fantastic new Organza Ribbon from Stampin' Up? This stuff is simply stunning! I know, I know, I have a slight ribbon addiction so really it is no surprise that I love it! lol But, it truly is beautiful.
I used the Organza Ribbon on this simple but elegant card. I did a tailored bow which looks great with this type of ribbon. This type of bow is also perfect for cards that you will be mailing as it lays nice and flat.
To make a Tailored Bow cut a piece of ribbon that is twice the desired length of the finished bow. Make a loop with the ribbon and adhere the two ends together. Flatten out the loop and wrap another piece of ribbon around the center of the loop. Adhere the two ends of the center ribbon together at the back of the bow. There you have it, a tailored bow!
The main images on this card are from the Hidden Garden Rub-ons pack. That's right, I didn't stamp these images they are rub-ons! The White Rub-ons are so nice and crisp on the Basic Black cardstock. I cut the ovals using Nestabilities. For the cardstock I used Basic Black and Whisper White.
There is a stamp in the Eastern Blooms set that coordinates perfectly with these rub-ons, so we stamped that in Basic Black ink on the Whisper White envelopes to match the card.
I sometimes find the simplest cards are my favorites and while this card is incredibly simple I just love it's simple elegance!
