It's the 20th of the month and all you MFT fans know what that means! It's Celebrate MFT Day! It's a great day to use your new MFT stamp sets. If you are feeling extra festive, why not use MFT's colors, Pink, Black and White.
I had a little MFT fun today! I inked up the oh so cute Cupcake Flopsey. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Papertrey's white cardstock. I used my Copics to color in the image. If you haven't seen it yet, Candice just did a fantastic Copic coloring tutorial over in the MFT forum. Lots of great tips and tricks for using Copics!
If you come to my Stampin' Up! classes you know that I love to sponge around the edges of white cardstock. I used Cameo Coral classic ink for the edges here. I absolutely love this technique. I find it really changes the overall look of a card.
For cardstock I used Cameo Coral and Pink Pirouette from Stampin' Up! and the patterned paper is from Making Memories. The gorgeous ribbon is from Papertrey Ink. It is called Berry Sorbet. The flower is from Petaloo and the jumbo brad is from Making Memories.
I had this fun cupcake bath bomb in one of my alterables/project drawers. It was the inspiration for the shade of pink on the card. I used a clear box top to house the cupcake. I wrapped the box top with Pink Pirouette Ribbon on both the inside and the outside of the box. I then used a little Berry Sorbet ribbon and finished it off with another polka dot flower from Petaloo. I will wrap the box top with a clear cello wrap when I give it as a gift.
If you have some MFT stamps ink them up today and head on over to the MFT forum on SCS. They will be doing a drawing for a $5.00 Gift Certificate from all the cards posted to the Celebrate MFT Day thread.
