In Color Club A

Here’s what you will get for only $50.00 per month

- Each month you will receive a Classic Ink Pad, a full package of 8 1/2x11 Card Stock, a full roll of Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, a Classic Ink Refill and a pack of Designer Series Paper.

- During the month that you are the hostess you will receive a full pack of 12x12 Textured Card Stock and the In Color 6 Pack of Stampin’ Write Markers. You will also receive a Level One Hostess set of your choice.

 

In Color Club B

Here’s what you will get for only $35.00 per month

- Each month you will receive a Classic Ink Pad, a full package of 8 1/2x11 Card Stock, a full roll of Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon and a Classic Ink Refill

- During the month that you are the hostess you will receive the In Color 6 Pack of Stampin’ Write markers and a Level One Hostess set.

There are only 6 spots available in each club and the club will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. This is a six month commitment from July 2009 – December 2009.

Orders will be placed on the 15^th of the month.

Sneak Peek - Animal Stories

I have another sneak peek for you today. Animal Stories is one of the fabulous brand new stamp sets that will be available on July 1. This set is incredibly cute but it also has a bit of a fun and funky feel to it. I just love it and I know you will love it too!

This stamp set also has a coordinating pack of Designer Series Paper called Tall Tales. The color combinations in this paper are just yummy! Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Old Olive, Brillant Blue and Rose Red. Like the stamp set this paper also has a bit of a fun and funky edge to it. For these two boxes I used one of the floral sheets from the Tall Tales pack.

To create these boxes I used the Big Shot with the Bag with Scallops die and the Box #2 die. I know I have said this before but really, the people at Sizzix could have come up with better names for these dies! They are after all a creative bunch! I used a circle punch and a window sheet to create the peek-a-boo window for the box on the right. I finished the window off by using the scallop circle punch to create a nice frame.

I stamped my cute little elephant on Whisper White card stock using Old Olive and Brilliant Blue Classic Ink. The elephants were cut out and then attached with dimensionals. I finished off the boxes with some wide Old Olive Grosgrain ribbon. The boxes were both filled with animal crackers! What a cute and yummy treat!

Sneak Peek - On a Pedestal

Are you coming to my Sneak a Peek class on June 29th in Calgary? If not, you should be! It is going to be a fantastic class filled with lots of fun new products. I only have a few spaces left so register now!

 This is one of the fabulous and fun cards that we will be making. It features a stamp set that I received for FREE from Stampin' Up! after attending Regionals in Edmonton earlier this year. The stamp set is called On a Pedestal, and it is sure to become one of your favorites!

I inked up the main image using my Stampin' Write Markers in Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Regal Rose. I added just a touch of Crystal Effects to the cherry and a touch of Dazzling Diamonds to the cake stand. I sponged the edges of the card stock with some Regal Rose Classic ink and I used a White gel pen to add a few stitches around the edges of the circle. 

I used the small polka dot plate from the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds I Texturz plates to add the dimension to the Whisper White card stock. I just love how the polka dots on the background tie into all the other polka dots on the main image.

I really love how everything coordinates so well on this card! The Chocolate Chip and Regal Rose card stock coordinates perfectly with the Chocolate Chip Double Stitched Ribbon and the Regal Rose Wide Grosgrain. It all comes together so nicely to give your cards that professional look!

Are you wondering why I postedtwo cards that are so similar? I'll let you in on a little secret. Each week on a Thursday, I post two cards on my downline website. These cards use the exact same supplies, including the same stamp sets and the same sized pieces of paper. I show my downline how they can make two different cards using the same supplies. This helps to challenge them to switch things up a little when they are making their cards for a workshop or a class. It also helps them with coming up with ideas, layouts, and color combinations for their own cards. I normally don't show these cards to anyone else other than my downline. It is just one of the perks they receive for being a part of my team.

Welcome to the Tour de Freaks Blog Tour

Welcome to the Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! We are so excited to have you join us today on our first Tour de Freaks Blog Tour! This month we are featuring stamps sets that will be retiring on June 30th.  Our tour is nice and short. We have 12 stops on the tour featuring some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers.

Speaking of fabulous stampers, you may have just arrived here from the fabulous Mary Brown's Blog. Mary is not only one of my favorite stampers she is also one of my favorite people!

  Let's get to the projects shall we! You all knew that I had to do at least one last project using Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze and Parisian Breeze right? I am so in love with the Parisian Breeze Specialty Paper. I just don't know what I am going to do when it retires in 10 days!

I used one of my favorite stamp sets, Blooming with Love. This is such a versatile stamp set, I just love it! The main image was stamped on Kraft card stock. It then paper pieced the pots and the wheel barrow. I colored the flowers in with a White Gel pen. I then added a bunch of rhinestones to the center of each flower. These rhinestones are actually our Rhinestone Brads I just popped out the rhinestone from the rest of the brad. I finished off the card with a little paper piercing and some Kraft Taffeta Ribbon.

My next project features two retiring stamp sets, Beautiful Borders and Always in My Thoughts. I love both of these stamp sets as they have a great image and they have a number of great sentiments. Sets that include both images and sentiments are always at the top of my list as they stretch your stamping dollar even further and you can never have too many sentiments!

I stamped the images and the sentiments on Whisper White card stock using Versamark, I then embossed it using Basic Black Embossing powder. I added a few touches of color with a So Saffron Stampin' Write marker. The card stock and the button are also So Saffron. I love simple cards like this, Black and White with just a pop of color.

My final project that I wanted to share with you today was created using the Big Birthday Candle set. I absolutely love this set! You can create a quick and easy card or gift bag in just minutes using this set and some scraps of Designer Series Paper.

For this bag I used the Sweet Always Designer Series Paper as my starting point. The fun colors in this paper include Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose and Pink Pirouette. I used the Eyelet Border punch on the top of the Sweet Always Paper to give it that extra special touch. I then layered the Double Stitched Chocolate Chip Ribbon with Regal Rose Wide Grosgrain and some Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon.

The candles were stamped on some scrap pieces of Sweet Always paper. The flame part of the candle was stamped on Summer Sun card stock. I then sponged the edges of the image with some Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink, this helps to create that wonderful looking flame.
 I finished off the bag with one last piece of ribbon. Wouldn't you love to give or receive a gift bag like this?

Crazy for Cupcakes

Here is another one of the cards from the Go to Town with Blue and Brown class. Once again I used my favorite combination of Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze and Parisian Breeze Specialty paper. What's even more fabulous is that this card has two of my other favorite things, polka dots and cupcakes! It just can't get much better than that!

I stamped the image from Crazy for Cupackes on Shimmery White card stock using Jet Black Stazon. I colored in the image with Stampin' Write Markers. Since we don't have a Baja Breeze marker I used a Blender Pen with the Baja Breeze ink refill. I used just a tiny touch of Crystal Effects on the cherries. I don't what it is but Crystal Effects always looks amazing on top of Real Red. For ribbon I used Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon and the Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon.

Stem Silhouettes

Sometimes the simplest card really are the best! This is an incredibly simple card but I really like how it turned out. You may recognize the color combination! lol Yes, it is another Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip and Parisian Breeze card.

I used the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set on this card.  I stamped the images using Versamark I then embossed it with Whisper White Embossing Powder. The images were then punched out using Stampin' Up!'s oval punches. I finished off the card with a little White Taffeta Ribbon.

Simple Friendship

Continuing on with my Brown and Blue theme, today's card features Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip and Parisian Breeze. I know, you are all shocked at this color combination! LOL

I used the Simple Friendship stamp set. I absolutely love this set, not just because it is beautiful, but because it is one of the 6 stamp sets I earned for FREE during Sale-A-Bration! You can't beat free stamps!

I stamped the flowers on the background  and the butterfly with Baja Breeze Classic ink. True Friend was stamped with Chocolate Chip Classic ink. I cut the butterfly out, yes by hand! lol One of my customers in this class was looking for the punch or the die to cut it out. I think they have been too spoiled with the Big Shot and all of SU! punches!  Speaking of the Big Shot, I used it to cut the circle and the scalloped circle. The gorgeous ribbon is Kraft Taffeta.

MFT - Weekly Sketch Challenge

Can you believe we are already on week number 85 for the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge? Wow! Each and every week Frances and Cindy come up with another fantastic sketch. This week is no exception! You can find the MFTSC85 sketch challenge here.

For my card I used the always lovable Flopsey. This set is Flower Flopsey. I stamped the image on MFT's Perfect Paper Panels with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The image was colored with Copics. The tiny little crystals in the center of the flowers are from MFT's Swarovski Crystal Clear pack. I love this pack of crystals as they come in three great sizes and they are super sparkly!

I used MFT's Summer Collection Paper Pack for the Patterned paper. The card stock is Sage Shadow, Cameo Coral and Very Vanilla from Stampin' Up! The gorgeous ribbon is from MFT's Summer Collection Ribbon Nest.
