Cheers to You!

Cheers to You has been on my wish list for quite some time and I finally purchased it! See, I don't by everything I want the minute I want it! LOL

I started with Shimmery White card stock and stamped the images with Jet Black Stazon. I then colored them with Stampin' Write Markers. The sentiment comes from the very useful On Your Birthday stamp set. This set really does have a stamp for every birthday celebration.

For card stock I used Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry Textured card stock. The lovely Designer Series paper is of course Razzleberry Lemonade. I finished off the card with a little bit of Crushed Curry Polka Dot Ribbon.

Upsy Daisy!

This is one of the cards we did at my recent Designer Series Paper class. The Designer Series Paper for the July class was Razzleberry Lemonade!

Using Versamark ink I stamped the image from Upsy Daisy on Glossy White card stock. I then took two brayers, one with Melon Mambo Ink and one with Crushed Curry Ink. I rolled the brayers back and forth over the card stock until I got the desired look. I then took a piece of paper towel and rubbed the excess ink off of the flowers.

This is a very simple technique using Versamark, Glossy Paper and brayers. Just remember to ink your brayer up well and to keep moving it up and down so that you don't get the really sharp lines on your card stock.

For the Designer Series Paper Class I feature a different paper each month. Class participants will make 5 fun cards using that one Designer Series Paper. MFT Rocks in Black, Red and Silver!

 This weeks MFT Challenge was to add texture to your card.I think I was able to do that with a little embossing and some fabulous ribbon!

I stamped Valentine Flopseywith Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on MFT's Perfect Paper Panels. I then colored him with Copics and cut him out.

I used my New Movers & Shapers die to cut the heart in the middle of the card. Yes, that is the die I said I would never buy! lol The heart on the inside of the card is a piece of Whisper White card stock that was embossed with the D'vine Swirl Cuttlebug folder.

I used Real Red and Basic Black card stock from Stampin' Up! The patterned paper and the fun jumbo brad are from Making Memories. I purchased the yummy ribbon from Jody. She has the best May Arts Ribbon Shares! This new Polka Dot ribbon is the widest I have seen!

This week we have another great MFT Sketch Challenge, MFTSC90  is a rocking sketch so I decided to go for a Rockstar look!

I stamped the drum image from the Poppies set and then I placed the skull and crossbones inside it. If take a close look at the skull and crossbones you will see that I used Black glitter on the eyes and the bow has a coating of Crystal Effects to make it nice and shinny! They looked like they needed a little more bling so I added the flower from MFT's Glittered Dots and Flowers Spring Collection.

The black ribbon worked perfectly for the feel I was going for. It is from Bo Bunny. The sentiment for this card came from  a BC Dzyns set Hey Chica. I finished the card off with a Flower from Petaloo, a Filigree Brad from SU! and a zebra brad from Gina K.

I hope you all enjoyed the Control Freaks Tour de Freaks Blog Tour yesterday! Weren't all the projects fabulous?

 I thought I would quickly tell you a few things about our monthly tour that may be a bit different than what you are used to. We made the decision to keep the tour small, a maximum of 15 freaks will take part each month. That way you will have time to enjoy the fabulous projects on each and every blog with out having to rush through! We also decided to leave our links up so you can revisit the tour at any time! We hope to see you back here again next month on August 20th! We will have a whole new set of Fabulously Freaky projects for you!

When I posted my projects yesterday I knew I would get a ton of emails and questions about my snowmen tubes! They are so incredibly cute!!! I just love them! Here is the bad news! I purchased them at a store here in Canada called Winners. Winners is part of family of stores that includes TJ Max in the US. Basically,they get discontinued merchandise from other stores! When I purchased this set it was the only set in the store. I asked the clerk to check if there were any more and I was told that was all they had. There was no brand name on the box. I really wish I could be of more help to all of you that would like to purchase them. If you ever find them anywhere please let me know as I would LOVE to get a cart load of them! lol

Welcome to the Tour De Freaks Blog Tour! We are so excited to have you join us today! You are going to love all the wonderful projects these amazing Control Freak stampers have created for you.

 You may have just arrived here from the fabulous Mary Brown's Blog. Weren't her projects just amazing! When I first got into Stampin' Up! I discovered some of Mary's cards on the internet. I was in awe of her talent. I had no idea back then that a few years later she would become a dear friend. The friendships I have been blessed with through Stampin' Up! are truly one of my favorite things about being a demonstrator.

 Now, we all know how amazingly talented Mary is, but I bet you didn't know that her husband Randy is totally on top of the new stamping color trends! Randy was wearing a Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede shirt when we were in Hawaii this past March! Can you believe that?  The new In Colors weren't even out yet! lol

You will recognize the set I used for this scrapbook page, For All You Do, is quickly becoming one of my favorite sets. I stamped the flowers in Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink. I used all Textured Card Stock in the new In Colors for the page, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry and Soft Suede. The Designer Series Paper is Razzleberry Lemonade. I also used some of the gorgeous new Polka Dot Grosgrain ribbon in Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede. I actually turned the ribbon over so that you can't see the polka dots! It's like having two ribbons in one!!

My next project features the brand new On a Pedestal Stamp set. This is a fantastic set for all your birthday and celebration cards. I paired  Melon Mambo and Chocolate Chip card stock, ink, ribbon and Designer Series Paper to create this card.  The two scallop circles on the right side of the card were left blank so that I could write a greeting. 

It's never too early to get started on those Christmas projects! Stampin' Up! has a fantastic new hostess set called Christmas Punch. This great set coordinates with a number of Stampin' Up! punches. I found these great snowman tubes at Winners 8 months ago. Each one has a different Hot Chocolate topping. I paired them with a matching Hot Chocolate Slider. I used Ballet Blue, Green Galore and Real Red card stock and Classic Ink. I added a little Basic Black card stock and white dots made with the white gel pen to make the images pop.

For All You Do - Part 4

So far most of the projects I have shown you with For All You Do, have used the flower stamps in the set. There are actually other images in this set as well! Today's projects were all created using the bold flower image and the polka dot stamp.

With the larger bold flower stamp you can create a great gift card or small tag in no time! These cards are all 3"x3". I stamped the background using the polka dot stamp and my stamp-a-ma-jig. The main flower image was stamped on Whisper White card stock using one of the following Classic Ink colors. Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Lovely Lilac and Tempting Turquoise.

Each card has a layer of Basic Black card stock and a layer of card stock that matches the Classic Ink color used on that card. The cards were all finished off with a piece of Black Gingham ribbon.

I needed something to put all the cards in so I altered the bottom of a tea tin that I had in my stash of alterables. I used the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper and some Crushed Curry Polka Dot Ribbon. I also stamped a few butterflies for the front of the tin.

For All You Do - Part 3

Well, you knew it had to happen sooner of later, the Big Shot would team up with For All You Do! Today's set of For All You Do, projects all use the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper and various Big Shot Dies.

Let's start with the card. I did a little Rock & Roll with these flowers. I inked them up in Crushed Curry and then I rolled then in Dusty Durango. This technique works fabulously with these flowers. For the brads I used More Mustard brads from the Earth Elements pack. I used Crushed Curry Textured card stock along with Dusty Durango card stock and Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper. The yummy ribbon is the Dusty Durango Polka Dot ribbon, I just turned it over and used the back side. Can you believe that I covered up the polka dots? lol

Now for the Big Shot element of the card. I used the Movers & Shapers Curly Label die. That's right ladies, I caved and bought the die that I said I would never buy! Guess what? I absolutely LOVE it!!!! lol Funny how that happens!

Here is the famous Box #2. Seriously, I need to come up with a nickname for this die! Box #2 just isn't cutting it! I used Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series paper for the box. I wrapped it with the Dusty Durango Polka Dot ribbon. The flowers were once again rocked & rolled and then cut out. I cut the leaves with the Little Leaves Sizzlit die. This die is the perfect compliment for your flower stamps!

 
I made two more little boxes, the pillow box and the matchbox. I seriously don't know what I did before the Big Shot!

The boxes were both made with the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper. I also used some Dusty Durango card stock on the match box. Again I did a little rock & roll on the flowers and I used the Little Leaves sizzlit die.
