Home for Christmas is a gorgeous stamp set that came out last year. I absolutely love this detailed image. It looks just stunning when it is done with watercolors. As much as I love to color in this image I know that many people just don't have the time or the patience to watercolor. This card is proof that you can still enjoy this fabulous image without coloring it in.
I inked up the image using Not Quite Navy Craft Ink. I stamped on a piece of Designer Series paper from the Bella Bleu Collection. The image was then embossed using Clear Embossing Powder. The sentiment from the Christmas Punch set was done the same way.
I added a number of little details to make the card special. I added Not Quite Navy brads to the main image. I also did a little paper piercing on the Not Quite Navy mat. The final touch was the embossing on the Bordering Blue card stock. I used the new Perfect Details Texturz plate with the Big Shot to create the subtle background.
I have to tell you a little secret about my stamping ladies! I think they are a little too spoiled, you should have heard them whine when I told them they had to use Paper Snips to cut around the oval sentiment as we had used the oval punch for the piece behind the sentiment. LOL I love my customers, they are a great bunch of ladies!
