As you probably know by now, I love Black and White cards. Thankfully, my customers love them too! My next set of Black & White card classes are coming up in a few weeks. Since I am in full Christmas mode I couldn't resist designing a Black & White Christmas card for the class.
I had way too much fun creating this card! I started out with a sheet of Whisper White card stock. I stamped the cardinal using Basic Black Classic ink. I then quickly hit it with the heat tool. I know what you are thinking, you don't need to heat set Classic ink! I wanted to make sure the ink was completely dry before I moved on to the next step.
I picked out one of the Vintage Ornaments II Stencils. These stencils are so versatile, I am just having a blast with them! I laid the stencil over top of a piece of Whisper White card stock making sure the cardinal was in the center of the ornament. I took my Versamark ink pad and applied the ink directly over the opening in the stencil. I then took the stencil off and covered the image with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. The image looks just gorgeous once it has been embossed! I then cut the ornament out and placed it on a piece of Groom Specialty Paper. I added some Whisper White Organza and some Whisper White Taffeta ribbon to finish off the card.
