Are you ready for another day of MFT Teasers? Of course you are! Today we are featuring the fabulous new Alphadots stamp set. Head on over to Kim's blog any time after 11:00am EST on Tuesday morning for the full list of designers participating in today's sneak peeks. Once again, the ladies have got some fabulous projects in store for you.
My first project today is a fun wine box. I found this wine box at a local card shop. I figured it would be just perfect to use for a Valentines day project. I thought love potion would be a great title for the box. A few days after buying the box I was at my parents place and I came across the Naked Grape wine bottle. Now, can you imagine finding a wine with a better name for a love potion? I thought it was just perfect and quickly borrowed the bottle of wine!
Now that I've finished babbling about my great wine find let me tell you about this fun new stamp set, Alphadots! One of the things I love about this set is it's versatility. You can easily create different sized letters just by switching up your punches.
For this project I stamped the letters using Real Red Craft ink. I embossed each letter with clear embossing powder. I punched out each letter using a 1/2' punch. The circles are actually 3/4" but the letters will fit perfectly in a 1/2" punch as well! I mounted the letters on a 3/4" Black circle.
I finished off the box with some Black Gingham Ribbon from MFT's Perfect Plaid Collection, a yummy Red button from the Summer Cup O'Buttons and some K & Company Paper Ribbon. I added a fun little tag to the side of the box, using stamps from the Girls Night Out and Meet Me at the Cafe stamp sets.
On my next project you will see that I have left the letters a little larger. Here I stamped them using Tempting Turquoise Classic Ink. I punched them out with a 3/4" circle punch and then matted them on a 1" circle of Real Red card stock. I added a few white dots to make the letters pop. These letters are the perfect size for a card or scrapbook page.
The adorable bears come from the Polar Love stamp set that was released last month. I stamped the bears on a Perfect Paper Panel and I colored them in with Copics. For card stock I used Real Red, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. The patterned paper is from imaginisce.
I added lots of paper piercing to add some detail to the card. I also added a bit of Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon and some Red trim from We Are Memory Keepers.
I hope you have been enjoying the MFT teasers all week. Don't forget the Release Party will take place on Wednesday night at 8:00pm EST in the MFT Forum on SCS. If you haven't been to a release party yet, let me tell you they are lots of fun! You will find lots of chatter, sneak peeks, projects, prizes and lots of fun! The new stamp sets will go live at 10:00pm EST and the Blog Hop will also begin at 10:00pm EST! I hope to see you all there!
