Are you ready for day two of this month's MFT Teasers? Today we are featuring two fabulous new stamp sets. Be sure to check out Kim's Blog Sunday morning at 11:00am EST. She will have a run down of all the fabulous designers participating in today's MFT Teasers.
Our guy Flopsey is back for another month, and this time he is bringing truffles! Mmmmmm, I love chocolate! I stamped our adorable little friend on a Perfect Paper Panel using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then colored him with Copics and cut him out.
Here's a quick tip - Whenever I stamp an image in Black ink on White cardstock and then cut it out I like to run along all the edges with a Black Marker. That way you see a nice Black edge on the image instead of the White card stock.
For card stock I used Pretty in Pink and Rose Red. The patterned paper is from K & Company's Smitten Collection. The gorgeous Suede ribbon is from May Arts and the hearts ribbon is from American Crafts. The dark brown trim is a paper ribbon from K & Company.
We all know that a card alone probably won't cut it on Valentines Day so I made a matching box of truffles. I would like to tell you that none of these truffles were eaten during this blog post, but that would be a lie. So far the heart tin is short three! lol I'll give you a final count at the end of the post!
For the tin Flopsey was stamped, colored and cut out the same way as he was in the card. The inside of the tin is covered with the same Smitten paper that is on the card. The outside of the tin is completely covered in ribbon! Oh, how I love Ribbon! I used a wide Pink Pirouette, the May Arts Suede ribbon and two ribbons from American Crafts. I added a Smitten Rub On to the top of the tin and then adhered Flopsey on top of that.
Now if a truffle bearing Flopsey wasn't enough, how about an out of this world Love Machine bearing Dark and White Chocolate Peppermint Bark? Many of you were introduced to the Love Machine in September as he was part of the Kit of the Month. This little guy is so cute!
I stamped the image on Brushed Silver card stock using Versamark ink and I embossed it with Silver Embossing Powder. I added a few Silver brads and then cut him out. The Slider was created with Red Glittered paper from K & Company's Smitten Collection. I used a nestability to cut the oval. The paper was wider that the Big Shot platform, so I wrapped the card stock around the platform and I was able to cut just the front piece of the slider.
I cut out an extra oval in White Bazzill Bling card stock and I added some of the screw brads from Gina K. They match the Love Machine just perfectly! I finished off the project with some Grey suede ribbon from May Arts and some Valentines ribbon from JoAnn's. The little clip at the top is from Making Memories.
Be sure to check out the rest of the fabulous projects that the ladies have in store for you today. Kim's Blog will have the full list of links available about 11:00am EST on Sunday.
