I'm going to share a little secret with you today. Many of my friends and family already know this but you may not. I have a thing for penguins! I don't know what it is but I just love them! I have loved them ever since I was a kid! Maybe it has something to do with the whole Black and White thing that they have going on! lol Given my love for penguins it is truly surprising that I don't have many penguin stamps. I have been looking at some sets from The Cat's Pajamas for quite a while now and I finally took the plunge and ordered some a few weeks ago. They arrived on Tuesday and I had to get them inky right away! I picked up the Kitty Kat Pack which included three fun stamp sets, Make Merry, Penguin Christmas and Give a Little. This card actually uses all three sets!
I combined the TCP Tuesday Challenge, with the Mojo Monday 116 Sketch. As with most sketches, I followed along as close as I could! lol I really wanted to use three of the fun penguin stamps and they just wouldn't all fit on a regular sized card so I had to switch up the card size to a 5 1/2" square.
Each of the images were stamped on a Perfect Paper Panel using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The images were colored with Copics. The circles were matted on Regal Rose and Real Red textured card stock. The patterned paper is from K & Company's Peppermint Twist Collection.
I added some paper piercing and some Star Dust Stickles to add a bit of detail. I finished off the card with some of my favorite Red Plaid ribbon and a Pink Button from the Summer Collection. The great sentiment came from the Penguin Christmas set.
I had a ton of fun making this card! The sketch was fun and so were the stamps!
