Are you ready for some chocolate teasers? My Favorite Things is releasing two fabulous chocolate sets this month as part of the January release! If you love chocolate as much as I do then these sets are a must have! Who's that Chocoholic and Clearly Sentimental About Chocolate are sure to become two of your favorite new stamp sets!
You will want to check out Kim's blog after 11:00am EST this morning to see a full list of all the MFT Design Team members that will be posting teasers today. The ladies have some wonderful projects in store for you.
For my projects today, I paired the two new stamp sets with the yummy Chocolate Kiss paper from MFT. They just seemed to go together perfectly!
I stamped the main image on a Perfect paper Panel using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored parts of it with Copics, the rest was paper pieced. I stamped the image a second time and cut out the box of chocolates. I wanted the box to extend over the oval.
For card stock I used MFT's Hot Fudge and Bubblegum card stock. This stuff is so thick, it's just wonderful to work with! I finished off the card by adding some of the tiny crystals from the Swarovski Clear Crystals pack, to the tiny holes created by the border punch. It just added that tiny bit of bling that I was looking for.
I created a little chocolate treat to go with my chocolate card. My chocolate book contains two large Dove Chocolate bars. Each bar was wrapped in Hot Fudge card stock with a layer of Chocolate Kiss paper on top. Anyone else getting hungry right about now? lol I added a few pieces of Chocolate Kiss Ribbon and a cute tag to finish them off.
Each bar was placed in a mini box that was attached to the main "book". My good friend Connie, created a tutorial for making a Chocolate Book. I used her tutorial as a starting point. I had to change all the measurements as I didn't have the same chocolate as she did. They really are fairly simple to make and they would make a great gift for someone.
I hope you can read the sentiments, just click on any of the pictures to view them larger. The sentiments had me laughing out loud when I read them. They are seriously perfect for any chocolate lover!
Be sure to check out Kim's blog to see all the fabulous creations the MFT Design Team has created. You will also want to come back tomorrow as I have a few fun projects to show you featuring some of the new Pure Innocence sets that will be available on January 6th. You know you don't want to miss them!
