I am so thrilled that tonight I get to share Lovin' From the Oven with you. The Who's That Girl Stamp sets were what first attracted me to MFT and I still love their unique, fun design. Lovin' From the Oven is full of fun baking items and goodies. It also comes with 6 great sentiments. For my project tonight I have also used the new Clearly Sentimental About Food stamp set. These two sets work together just perfectly!
I stamped the main image on a Cream Perfect Paper Panel using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored some parts with Copics and then I paper pieced the rest. Joanne did a fabulous Paper Piecing tutorial the other day, if you missed it you will want to check it out here.
I used Earth Love paper from Cosmo Cricket to cover the inside and the outside of the box. I stamped out recipes using the fabulous Alpha Dots stamp set. I added a bit of May Arts Suede Ribbon and a button from the Chocolate Kiss Collection.
Using a few stamps from the Clearly Sentimental About Food set, I stamped the dividers for my box. I think I covered the four major food groups, cupcakes, cookies, cakes and pies! lol In my defense, it does say Baking Recipes on the box! I cut the dividers at 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" as I wanted them to be a bit bigger than the recipe cards.
The recipe cards were created using MFT's new Recipe card download. You can find it HERE. The template is fantastic, you can get four recipe cards from one sheet of card stock. I added a layer to my recipe cards, that back piece of card stock is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I cut the pieces that I printed at 4" x 5 1/4". I stamped a yummy image in the top corner of each recipe card.
I think this would make a great home made gift for someone. It was quite inexpensive to put together and it looks fantastic sitting on my counter in my kitchen!
Thanks for hopping by tonight. Your next stop on the blog hop is our wonderful Guest Designer this month. Hop on over to Patti's Blog and check out the great project she has in store for you!
