This week's WSC challenge is all about cupcakes!!! I adore cupcakes, both the yummy kind and the paper ones! Be sure to check out Kim's Blog for all the details for this weeks WSC.
Barbara created a fantastic cupcake template. It's available on the MFT site HERE. The great thing about MFT templates is that they come in many different formats.
- PDF: traditional print & cut version.
- SVG: for use with the Cricut Expression and Make The Cut or Sure Cuts a Lot software
- Ai & DXF: for use with Wishblade, Pazzles, and KNK machines
- GSD: for use with the Silhouette
Since I don't have a cutting machine I used the PDF version.
I created my card using Whip Cream card stock. I used some Hot Fudge card stock that I ran through a crimper to create the cupcake wrapper. The patterned paper on the cupcake is all from K & Company. I used the oh so fabulous Die-namics Ric Rac die. I finished off the top of the cupcake with some Grosgrain ribbon.
I stamped the gorgeous à la modes Birthday Girl on a piece of Whip Cream card stock and I colored it with Copics. I added a few buttons and a sentiment.
