MFT Teasers - Day One!

It's day one of the MFT Teasers and we have a full line up of amazing stamps and dies to share with you this month. Today I am playing with Fred Bear Takes a Hike. I usually love the Fred Bear images but this one I REALLY LOVE! Just look at those hiking boots!

 I stamped Fred on a piece of X-Press It card stock and I colored him with Copics. I cut him out and placed him on a piece of October Afternoon Campground paper.

I used some Hot Fudge and Fossil cardstock. I didn't add any embellishments or ribbon as I wanted to keep the card as masculine as possible. I have been accused of making my masculine cards too girly! Can you imagine? LOL

I used a couple of my beloved Die-namics dies on this card. The Die-namics Fresh Cut Grass die  was just perfect for this image. I also used the First Place Ribbon Award Die-namics die for the sentiment. On the inside of the card I also added the Die-namics Sweet Stack Labels die. I just love how all these dies work so well together!

 It's time to say Happy Birthday to the amazing MFT lady, Kim! We are celebrating a few days early as the MFT Teasers are about to begin. We wanted to make sure we had a full day just to celebrate out amazing friend!

I decided to ink up the fabulous Just My Type stamp set. This fantastic set comes with the coordinating Die-namics dies! I used the Die-namics die to cut out a piece of Bubblegum card stock and then I stamped the images. I used some X-Press It  card stock for the white paper. I sponged the edges of the paper with some Distress ink.

Instead of using the type set sentiments that come with this set, I decided to use the sentiments from the More Essential Sentiments set. They were a little funkier and that's just what I wanted for Kim! I finished off the card with some pleated white satin ribbon, some pink satin ribbon and some Cappuccino Twine.

MFTWSC26 - Snow Day

 

It's time for another fabulous MFTWSC sketch! For today's sketch I decided to make a Christmas card. Yes, I know it's early but I am trying to make one a week for the next few months. I am hoping that will lighten the load come November, December time.

For my card today I inked up the adorable PI set Snow Day. I stamped the image on a piece of X-Press It card stock and I colored her with Copics. I added some pom poms to her hat.

I used Wild Cherry, Hot Fudge and Sage Shadow card stock. The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket. I finished off the card with some MFT ribbon. For Die-namics I used the Die-namics Let It Snowflake die and the Die-namics Decorative Doily die. The sentiment tag was created with the First Place Ribbon Award Die-namics die.

Here are the details for the weekly MFTWSC challenge. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation.  You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish.  Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch.  All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process.  After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher.  If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!  That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along.

TCP Blog Hop!

 It's time for the TCP Blog Hop! I have had an absolute BLAST playing along with the Cat Pack this week. Alma and the ladies have all been fabulous!

If you just wanderered over here you will want to go back to Leigh's Blog as she is the beginning of the hop! If you came here from Tori's Blog then you are on the right track.

I have two fun projects to share with you today. First up is this sweet Away We Go card created with this weeks TCPTUES165 Challenge Sketch. I stamped the image on a piece of X-Press It card stock and I colored the image with Copcis. I added some DMC floss for his whiskers. I just love whiskers! LOL

I used some Taken With Teal and Tangy Orange card stock along with some My Mind's Eye patterned paper. A few Basic Grey brads were the finishing touch.

My next project features the Bearing Flowers stamp set. This may be my favorite stamp set from this release. I can't say that for sure as I love them all, but I think this may be my favorite! LOL I had a project in mind for the hop but when I went to execute it it did not turn out at all like I had envisioned. I hate it when that happens! I started looking in my alterables closet and I spotted a few goodies that I thought I could work with.

I covered the tin with some paper from October Afternoon. I then made a large sunflower. I cut the circle with a Nestability die and then I cut a ton of the Rosette Sunflower die. I cut each die cut into four pieces. I folded each along the score line to give the flower a little texture. I went around the entire circle twice with the petals.

I stamped PJ on a piece of X-Press It card stock and I colores him with Copics. I added a touch of glaze to his eyes, nose and to the center of the sunflower. I then stamped the sentiment on a small flag.

 What's inside the tin you ask? Sunflower paper clips of course! The new Cut Ups Rosette Sunflower was just perfect for these large paper clips.

I cut out three Rosette Sunflowers for each paper clip. Two were assembled as normal to make the rosette, the other was used to cover the back of the paper clip. I also cut out two centers and two leaves for each paper clip. i used some large Glue Dots to secure the Rosette Sunflowers to the paper clips.

Here is a quick peek at the back of one of the paper clips. Doesn't the Rosette Sunflower finish it off perfectly?

Here is one last picture of the whole set together. I am just thrilled with how it all came together!

TCP - Sneaky Peeks #7

 

 It's the last day of The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peeks! This means that the big release party is tonight! I have had such an amazing time playing along with the Cat Pack this week! I thought I would end things of with a whole lotta bling!

Today we are previewing the new Kick Some Grass, stamp set. This is yet another adorable image! I stamped the image on a piece of X-Press It card stock and I colored it with Copics. I cut out the image and paper pieced it onto a piece of My Mind's Eye patterned paper.  If you look closely you will see that I actually cut out each of the blades of grass. Crazy, I know!

I stamped and cut out a ton of funky flowers which I used to frame the main image. Each flower has a tiny crystal in the center. A girl need her bling!

I kept the inside of the card nice and simple. I figured with all the bling on the front of the card, simple was okay for the inside!

TCP - Sneaky Peek #6

 

 I'm back with another Sneak Peek of a fabulous new The Cat's Pajamas stamp set, Away We Go. The adorable bunny is back and this time he's flying high in a hot air balloon! So stinkin' cute!

I stamped the image on a piece of X-Press It card stock and I colored it with Copics. I added some DMC floss for the cords on the balloon, and for the bunny's whiskers. I also tied up each of the packages attached to the basket with some DMC floss. For the finishing touch on the balloon, I added a few Black Baby Braddies.

  The patterned paper from My Mind's Eye was seriously made for this stamp set! I paired it with some Not Quite Navy and Old Olive card stock. I finished the card off with the fabulous new Cut Ups Cloud Border die.

TCP - Sneaky Peek #4

 

Have you been loving all the Sneaky Peeks so far? I bet you have! The new stamp sets and dies from the Cat's Pajamas are so stinkin' fabulous! You are going to want them all! The big release is happening on June 28th!

I am super excited for this stamp set, Up, Up and Away!  Alma's penguin stamps were the very thing that started my love affair with TCP stamps. I don't know what it is, I've always loved penguins and the TCP penguins are just adorable! This new set is no exception!

I stamped the image on a piece of X-Press it card stock and then I paper pieced it onto a print from My Mind's Eye Lime Twist. I then paper pieced the kite.

I had to use a couple Cut Ups on the card! I used the fabulous new Rosette Sunflower die. I added a heart from the Heart Trio die. I finished off the card with some thick may Arts Polka dot ribbon and some Aqua Divine Twine.

PPC21 - Christmas in June

 

This weeks Playing in Paradise Challenge is brought to you by Nancy! Nancy is challenging us to create a Christmas card! June seems like the perfect time to get a head start on Christmas cards! I don't know about you but I always seem to be really behind in December! LOL

 This was the perfect opportunity to ink up one of my favorite MFT sets, Merry KISSmas. I don't know who is more adorable the little PI or the snowman!

I stamped the image on a piece of X-Press It card stock and I colored it with Copics. I paper pieced thier outfits with some print's from Cosmo Crickets Mitten Weather collection. 

I used some Pale Plum and Perfect Plum card stock. I added a bit of Lilac Twine. I created the scallops using MFT's Die-namics Simply Scallops Large die. The sentiment banner was created with MFT's Die-namics First Place Ribbon Award die.

TCP - Sneaky Peek #3

 

I'm back again today playing with another adorable image!  The Cat's Pajamas has an AMAZING set of stamps and dies that will be released on June 28! Trust me when I tell you that you are going to love these images!

Today we are featuring Wheel of Love. Don't you just love the bike with the little flower basket? So stinkin' cute!

I stamped the image on a piece of X-Press It card stock and I colored it with Copics. I added some bling to the flowers and some glaze to the bike.

The fabulous Cut Ups Cloud Border die is making another apperance on this card. I really do love this die! For card stock I used Red Hot and Hot Fudge. The patterned paper is all from My Mind's Eye Lime Twist collection. I finished off the card with some Cherry Divine Twine, a October Afternoon button and a sentiment flag.

TCP - Sneaky Peek #2

 

 

I'm back again today playing along with the Cat Pack for the Sneaky Peek Week! The Cat's Pajamas has an AMAZING set of stamps and dies that will be released on June 28 and I am so excited to be playing along!

Today we are featuring the adorable new set Bearing Flowers! I think I actually squealed with delight when I saw this stamp set and the amazing Sunflower Rosette die! PJ looks absolutely adorable holding a gorgeous sunflower!

I stamped PJ on a piece of X-Press it card stock and I colored him with Copics. I paper pieced his belly with a print form October Afternoon. I added some glaze to his eyes and nose to make them pop.

Even though PJ is holding a gorgeous sunflower I had to replace it with a sunflower made with the new Cut Ups Sunflower Rosette die. I LOVE this die! It makes the most gorgeous sunflowers! I added a bit of glaze to the embossed piece to make it look like it was shimmering in the afternoon sun.

 I used some Summer Sun and Hot Fudge card stock. The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket. I finished off the front of the card with the Cut Ups Icing die in a rich chocolate color and a sentiment flag.

On the inside of the card I used the Cut Ups Sunflower Rosette again but this time I didn't assemble them I just left them flat. I think they look gorgeous like this too!
