Each month Joanne, issues the MFT Design Team a Creative Challenge. Some months these challenges are easy, others are a bit harder. I found this months challenge to be on the harder side! Our challenge was to create masculine cards. Masculine cards are not my thing! LOL
MFT has some fabulous masculine sets, I decided to ink up the new All Star Die-namics and stamp set. This is the perfect set for the guys. It has a little bit of everything!
I cut out the baseball from a piece of X-Press It card stock. I love the embossing that the die leaves on the ball. I stamped the stitching with some Adirondack Latte ink. The Superstar circle banner was stamped with Adirondack Currant ink. The sentiment flags were stamped with Adirondack Denim and Lettuce ink.
I used Bravo Burgundy Textured card stock and Fossil card stock. The patterned paper is from Echo Parks Times & Seasons collection. I finished off the card with a bit of Cappucino Twine! I used the Tag You're it Die-namics die along with the All Star Die-namics.
When I create masculine cards I have a few rules that I try to follow. I have to resist the impulse to add ribbon or anything with glitter to the card. I have been informed that these two items are not appreciated by men! Apparently, it doesn't matter if the ribbon is in a masculine color, ribbon is not masculine!
Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see all the masculine creations the Design Team has created today. I have no doubt that there will be tons of fabulous eye candy!
