I hope you have all enjoyed the MFT Release week festivities! There were so many fabulous new stamp sets released this week that I had trouble deciding which set to use for today's sketch. I decided to go with the adorable new PI Home Sweet Home.
I stamped the image on a piece of X-Press It card stock and I colored it with Copcis. Her skirt was paper pieced with a print from LilyBee Design's Handmade collection. The card stock is Sno Cone, Black Licorice and Red Hot. I used the Circle STAX 1 Die-namics and Circle STAX 2 Die-namics to cut the circles.
I used the Botanical Beauty Die-namics and the Flower Trio & Leaf Trio Die-namics to create the flower. I really like how these two sets of dies layer together. I added a sparkly black brad to finish off the flower. For the little flag on the flower I used the Mini Wavy Pennants Die-namics. I finished off the card with some Sno Cone Ribbon and some Charcoal Twine.
One of the things that I love about PI Home Sweet Home, is the sentiments. I choose to make this a motivational card, not a new home card. I love having options like this! I used the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics for the sentiment flags. Can you tell I love my Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics?
Here are the details for the weekly MFTWSC challenge. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along.
