I created a set of bookmarks and a bookmark holder using the new Bookmark Duo Die-namics and Stamp Set. This would be a great gift for your book club members or for anyone who loves to read.
For the front of the bookmark holder I used the new Designer Labels 4 STAX Die-namics for the sentiment panel. The sentiment was stamped with Cranberry Adirondack ink on a piece of X-Press It card stock. I used Red Hot and Black Licorice card stock. The patterned paper is from Karen Foster's High Society collection and Jillibean Soup Blossom Soup collection.
I used the new Medium Leafy Flourish Die-namics along with the new Layered Rose Die-namics to create the flower. I added a black felt brad to finish off the flower.
I kept the inside of the bookmark folder fairly simple as I didn't want to add any extra bulk. I used the Medium Simply Scallops Die-namics layered with the new Triple Scallop Borders Die-namics. I really love the look you get when you layer these two dies together.
Here are the three bookmarks. I tried to keep the bookmarks failry flat as I wanted them to lay nicely in books. Of course, the flowers at the top of each bookmark have a little extra dimension as they will peak out the top of a book.
Speaking of the flowers, I used the same Layered Rose Die-namics for all of the flowers. I used different combinations of the dies to create the unique flowers on each bookmark.
The first bookmark has a Black Licorice base, the ribbon is Red Hot.
This bookmark has a Red Hot card stock base and the ribbon is Sweet Tooth.
The last bookmark has a base of Sweet Tooth card stock, the ribbon is Black Licorice.
One last look at the whole set together.
