MFTWSC91 - Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

It's time for another fabulous WSC sketch! I decided that it was about time that I got started on those Christmas cards that I was originally planning on doing weekly over the year. LOL Maybe next year?

I inked up the very cute PI Holiday Hugs Snowman stamp set. I just love this little guy! I used the Rectangle STAX 1 Die-namics and the Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics to cut out the rectangles. I then stamped the image on a piece of X-Press It card stock and I colored him with Copics. I paper pieced his hat and scarf with prints from Echo Parks Winter Park collection. For an extra bit of sparkle, I added some glitter to the snow bank. 

Speaking of glitter, I used the Icicle Border Die-namics die along the left edge of the card. I have a special trick for getting the glitter to stick in all those little places on the icicle border. I placed a piece of Scor Tape on a piece of X-Press It card stock, I then used the icicle die on top of the Scor Tape. I had to run it through the Big Shot twice in order for the die to cut all the way through the Scor Tape. I then peeled off the backing of the Scor Tape and I covered the Scor Tape with glitter. I like to press the glitter into the tape to make sure everything is covered and then just brush off any excess. 

I used the fabulous new Steel Grey card stock and Steel Grey buttons along with some Sweet Tooth card stock. The patterned paper is all from Echo Parks Winter Park collection.

On the inside of the card I used the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics. The sentiment was stamped in the bottom corner. 

Here are the details for the weekly MFTWSC challenge. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation.  You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish.  Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch.  All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process.  After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher.  

If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!  That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along.
