Welcome to day one of the MFT Teasers! We have an incredible line up in store for you this month! We are starting things off with two fabulous sets from Lisa Johnson Designs, Howdy and Western Backgrounds. I have a couple of projects to share with you featuring these stamp sets.
My first card is a clean and simple one. I stamped the image from Howdy on a piece of Natural card stock using Crumb Cake Classic Ink. I used the Circle STAX 1 and Circle STAX 2 Die-namics to cut out the circles in Sweet Tooth and Hot Fudge card stock.
The Western Backgrounds stamp set includes three background images, I used the wood panel one with Crumb Cake Classic Ink along the bottom of the card. The sentiment was stamped in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink.
I finished off the card with some white trim, some Hemp Cord and a charm from the Country Charms Die-namics.
My next set of projects is a little different from the traditional western look, but after living in Calgary for 30 years I have seen cowboy boots in every shade, print and style imaginable!
I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of X-Press It card stock. I added the touch of red with Copics. The background was stamped using one of the images from the Western Backgrounds stamp set.
I used the Howdy Frames Die-namics for the sentiments. You know how much I love having a coordinating die for my sentiments!
I created the cowboy boot from a template I found in Ellen Hutson's store. It was a little fiddly to put together, but it turned out well. It would be great packaging for a wedding favor for a western themed event.
I used X-Press It, Red Hot and Black Licorice card stock for the boot. I added a few black swirls to the boot for that extra little bit of bling.
