Welcome to the first MFT Scrap Challenge! We are so excited to introduce this new monthly contest. Whether you are a bit intimidated by scrapbooking or you are a seasoned scrapbooker, this is the challenge for you.
Each month we will provide two sketches, our main sketch and a Project Life version for those of you following Project Life. Simply follow the sketch and upload your creation to SCS using the proper keyword.
There will be a random draw each month from all the participants who have uploaded their Scrap Samples to SCS using the proper keyword. Two winners will be chosen each month and the winners will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winner used MFT stamps, they will receive $ 5 in bonus bucks, for a total of $20.
To play along this month, simply upload your creation to SCS using the keyword MFTSCRAP1 or MFTPL1 for a chance to win one of the two monthly prizes (see above). You have until noon Monday, November 19 to play along.
This sweet little guy Rowan, was quite enthralled by his Uncle Cam. He stared and stared at him until finally he got the kiss that he was looking for!
I used a couple of dies from the new Laina Lamb Design line on this page. The Accent It Flags & Tags were the perfect size for my embellishment on the first photo. I added a heart from the Hearts a Plenty Die-namics and I stamped a sentiment from the Ring Me stamp set on the heart.
For the three tags along the bottom photo I used the new Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics. The sentiment is from the PI Being Cute is What I Do stamp set. It seemed to fit perfectly with the image.
The new Insert It 3 x 4 Die-namics was the perfect size for the sentiment. I used the die to cut out the Bashful Blue Textured card stock. I stamped the journal page from the Journal It Top Ten stamp set in Baja Breeze Classic Ink on Whip Cream card stock. I trimmed around the edges of the page so it would layer nicely with the Bashful Blue card stock.
The remember sentiment is also from the Journal It Top Ten stamp set, I used Real Red Classic Ink for it. The picture perfect moment stamp comes from the Behind the Camera stamp set, it was stamped in Midnight Muse Classic Ink. For the embellishment at the bottom I used the Accent It Flags & Tags Die-namics and the Journal It Top Ten stamp set. It was stamped in Real Red Classic Ink.
The sketch calls for an embellishment in the top right corner, I used a couple of the flags from the new Accent It Flags & Tags Die-namics. I also added a heart from the Hearts a Plenty Die-namics.
The new High Rise Alphabet Uppercase Die-namics were the perfect size for this page. I cut out the letters in Bashful Blue Textured card stock. I added the little heart from the Notched Tag Die-namics to the top of the I. I know you don't normally add anything to a capital I but I like the way it looked! LOL
I used Red Hot, Nightshift Blue, Whip Cream and Bashful Blue Textured card stock. The patterned paper is from October Afternoon's Rocket Age Collection.
That's it for me today. I hope you enjoyed my attempt at a scrapbook page. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team has created.
