Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. I had planned to post a bit over the holiday season but time just seemed to disappear!
2013 is going to be an amazing year! I can't wait to share all the fantastic new MFT products with you. We are starting 2013 off with a fabulous week of MFT Teasers! Today, we are previewing two new stamp sets from Lisa Johnson Designs, Homespun Hearts and Hearts and Stitches, and the new Rustic Hearts Die-namics. I have a couple of projects made with these amazing sets.
For my first set of projects I went with traditional Valentines colors.
I used the Rustic Hearts Die-namics to cut out a number of hearts in Natural card stock. I stamped the hearts with Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose and Primrose Petals Classic Ink.
I used the Gift Card Pocket - Horizontal Die-namics die to create the envelope for the hearts. I used Kraft cardstock to create the pocket and I stamped it with the new MFT Kraft Ink using the Hearts and Stitches stamp set. I added a bit of pink satin ribbon and some Hemp Cord to finish off the pocket.
I kept the inside of the card fairly simple.
I created a few treat boxes to go along with the card. These boxes were created with the new Square Pillow Box Die-namics die! I am so stinkin' excited by this die!
I cut out the pillow box in Natural card stock. I used the Kraft Ink to stamp the hearts from the Hearts and Stitches stamp set. The little tag was created with the Decorative Circle Tag STAX Die-namics. The smaller die in this set is the perfect size for a tag on the pillow box.
For my next set of projects, I wanted to go with a more masculine theme.
I used the fabulous new Heart STAX Die-nmaics with a piece of corrugated cardboard. I sponged the edges with Latte Adirondack ink. I used the new Leaf-Filled Flourish Die-namics and the Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die-namics.
You are going to love the new Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die-namics, it is the perfect blend of the rolled flowers and the flat flowers. I added a sentiment from the Homespun Hearts stamp set to a flag created with the Fishtail Flags Die-namics. I added a big Hot Fudge Button and some Hemp Cord to finish off the flowers.
Along the bottom of the card I used the new Layered Heart Border Die-namics. This is such a fun die! I only used one part of the die on this card as I wanted the newsprint to show in the hearts.
On the inside of the card I added another smaller heart from the Heart STAX Die-namics and a flourish from the Leaf-Filled Flourish Die-namics.
I also created a little treat holder to match this card. I used one of the corrugated cardboard tiles for the pillow box. This material is a little thicker than regular card stock. The Square Pillow Box Die-namics cut it perfectly! I embellished the box with a heart from the Rustic Hearts Die-namics, a Leaf-Filled Flourish and a Hot Fudge Button. The tiny sentiment is from the Homespun Hearts stamp set. It was stamped on a flag created with the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics.
