I've entered these cards in a couple of the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges over on SCS. You can find all the info about this fabulous event HERE.
For my first card, I die-cut the sunflower and leaves in Primitive Cream card stock. I used Lemon Drop, Hot Fudge, and Jellybean Green Premium Dye Ink to ink the images. The Lemon Drop ink is the perfect color for a warm, sunny sunflower! I added a Hot Fudge button and a touch of Hemp Cord to finish off the flower.
To create the flag piece I used the Jumbo Fishtail Banner Die-namics and some burlap. I used the script stamp from the new Collage Backgrounds stamp set and Kraft Premium Dye Ink to stamp the background. The sentiment is from the new Sending Thanks stamp set.
On the inside of the card, I stamped a couple of sentiments from the Sending Thanks stamp set, along with a little more background script, and another yummy sunflower. Of course I can't forget about those fabulous circles. The Pierced Circle STAX were released last month and they have quickly become one of my go to dies!
For my second card, I paired the Splendid Sunflowers with the new Blueprints 6 Die-namics. This new set of Die-namics is absolutely full of fabulous dies. One of the things that I love about this set of Blueprints is that the largest die layers perfectly with the large die in the Blueprints 5 set.
Once again, I stamped the sunflower with Lemon Drop, Hot Fudge, Kraft and Jellybean Green Premium Dye Ink. I really do love the way these colors look together. For the sentiment I used one of my favorite sentiments from the Vertical Greetings II stamp set.
I stamped the background with one of the stamps from the Western Backgrounds stamp set. I love the rustic look you can achieve with this stamp.
On the inside of the card I added another sunflower and a blank space for a note.
I'll be back a little later with my Wednesday Stamp Club card. It also features the Splendid Sunflower Stamp Set and Die-namics, but for this one I switched up the colors.
