Before we get to the projects, I want to thank you all for your sweet comments this past week. I truly appreciate each and every one of you!
I have a couple of Halloween home decor projects to share with you today that feature the new Layered Treat Tag Die-namics. The Layered Treat Tag Die-namics and the Trick or Sweet Stamp Set are exclusively available at the MFT Boutique mftstamps.com.
For my first project, I created a trio of bags to sit on the mantel. The bags were die-cut with the new Paper Bag Treat Box Die-namics. Each bag was cut in Black Licorice card stock and stamped with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink. I used the background stamp from the Trick or Sweet stamp set to decorate the bags. I love white ink on black card stock!
I die-cut several pieces of Orange Fizz and Black Licorice card stock with the Layered Treat Tag Die-namics. To create a border around the letters, I stamped one of the circle images from the Trick or Sweet stamp set on the Orange Fizz card stock. I used a die from the Pierced Circle STAX Die-namics for the smallest circle. The letters are from the new Cooper Alphabet stamp set.
To create these embellishments, I added an adhesive sheet to each color of card stock before I die-cut them. Since these sheets are a bit thicker, I ran the die through the Vagabond twice to make sure the cuts were clean. I peeled off the adhesive backing and covered the die-cut with glitter. It's a great way to add lots of sparkle with minimal mess! LOL
To go along with the boo trio I created a Trick or Treat banner for the fire place.
I used the Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX Die-namics to create the banner pieces in Black Licorice and Orange Fizz card stock. I covered each of the Orange Fizz pieces with a spooky spider web. The spider webs were created with white mulberry paper and the Spider Web Die-namics. If you haven't tried using mulberry paper to create spider webs you really should!
In the center of each banner piece I used the Layered Treat Tag Die-namics and the Pierced Circle STAX Die-namics. To spell out Trick or Trick I used the Cooper Alphabet stamps. These stamps are the perfect size for the Layered Treat Tags.
In between each of the large banner pieces I added a small banner piece. These banner pieces were also created with the Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX Die-namics. I added a small, sparkly spider web to each of these pieces.
Here is one last look at the three center pieces of the banner.
Thanks for joining me today. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see the eye candy that the rest of the MFT Design Team created to share with you.
