The MFT Design Team is taking a look back at this month's New Release Items. I didn't get a chance to play with the Sunny Day Doodles Sweet Christmas stamp set until now, so I have a few fun items to share with you featuring this set. But before we get to them, be sure to check out all the festive Brand Spankin' New items HERE.
The Sunny Day Doodles Sweet Christmas stamp set is full of adorable images that are sure to please everyone with a sweet tooth. I created a number of fun items using this set and the Sheet Music Backgrounds. Let's get started with the card.
I stamped the image on a piece of X-Press It card stock and I colored it with Copics. I added some Glossy Accents over all the candy cane pieces and Sheer Spakle Glitter Glaze over the snow. I fussy cut the image and placed it on a Berrylicious oval.
On the inside of the card, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Sweet Christmas stamp set.
To stamp the sentiment, I cut apart the stamp. Yes, I have a tendency to cut apart sentiments. The tree was stamped on a piece of X-Press It card stock, colored with Copics, and fussy cut it out.
My next project is a small hot chocolate treat holder. It's a quick and simple gift item that's fairly easy to mass produce.
The Scalloped Treat Box is perfect for holding little chocolate treats. Once again, the background was stamped with the Sheet Music Background stamp. The tree was stamped on X-Press It card stock, colored with Copics, and cut out. The little gems are from Doodlebug Designs.
The sweet Pillow Box Die-namics is one of my favorite dies to use to create treat boxes. The boxes are fairly small, so you don't need lots of chocolates to fill them!
I hope I gave you a few ideas on holiday gift tags and packages using the Sunny Day Doodles Sweet Christmas stamp set. The set really is a lot of fun to play with!
