I have a number of fun projects to share with you today featuring the new Fishbowl Die-namics. I had so much fun playing with this set! I seriously couldn't put it down!
My first project, a sweet birthday card, is full of bright, happy colors. I die-cut the fishbowl in Grout Grey card stock and I stamped a sentiment from the You're Fin-tastic stamp set in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.
I stamped the background of the card with the fabulous Grid Background stamp and Sour Apple Hybrid Ink. Along the bottom of the card I used a sentiment from You're Fin-tastic and Lemon Drop Hybrid Ink on a Vertical Stitched Frame Die-namics.
I kept the inside fairly simple with lots of room to write a nice birthday message.
I made a little treat box to go along with the birthday card. Unfortunately, some fish were harmed (eaten) in the manufacturing of this box. :) I stamped the top and the sides of the box with the Grid Background stamp. I die-cut a piece of Grout Grey card stock with the fishbowl die, I then used the water die to die-cut the inside of the fishbowl. I traced the shape of the water die onto the top of the box and used an craft knife to cut out the shape of the water. I placed a piece of acetate under the back side of the box top and adhered the fishbowl to the top.
The card and treat box are a sweet, inexpensive gift for a friend.
One of the sentiments in the You're Fin-tastic stamp set inspired this next card. Wouldn't this make a sweet Valentine's Day card?
Once again, I used the Vertical Stitched Strips as a background for my card. I seriously love these dies! I used the Linen Background stamp on the heart and the background. I love the texture this stamp gives the card stock.
No surprise here, I filled the treat bag with a bunch of goldfish.
My final card is a little fishbowl tag style card. The fish and the bubbles on this card received a thick layer of Sheer Sparkle Glitter Glaze.
On the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from the Sea Life stamp set.
That's it for me today. Thank you again for joining me this past week. Your comments always touch my heart. Don't foget to check out the MFT Blog to see all the gorgeous creations the design team has to share with you. I know they have lots of amazing creations to show you!
